About me
I love people and I love travelling. I love exploring cultures and learning about foreign traditions. I love teaching and sharing my culture with the world.
I was born and raised in Germany and moved to Singapore several years ago. What I love most about this city are its people and the peaceful coexistence of different cultures.
After arriving in this wonderful place I graduated from "DaF Methodik und Didaktik" at the "Goethe Institut". I successfully completed these studies in 2017 and have been assisting students in understanding the German culture ever since.
I thrive on my student’s excitement about German culture and I am looking forward to seeing them excel in their ability to learn. I practice transparent communication, my teaching style is personal and open-minded and I pride myself in my ability to adapt to everyone‘s personal learning style.

"I began learning german with Christina Paetzold primarily as a way to improve my communication skills when talking to partners family, who all come from Germany. Therefore we concentrated mostly of spoken German.
This was a fantastic experience as Christina is a warm and engaging tutor. We meet at her apartment and she always makes me feel welcome.
A month or so in to the lessons the purpose of my learning changed as it became crucial for me to pass the A1 Goethe test in order to get my visa to live and work in Germany.
Christina was more than capable of changing with the new requirement and we moved to a more formal type of practice and learning.
Her assistance worked wonders because I passed the exam with a 93% pass rate !

"Without Christina I would have not gotten close to passing the A2 German exam. While I have been learning German (mainly conversational speaking) for a few years, the grammar side is not my friend. With my impending move to Germany, we scheduled a crash course over a 6 week period to finally drill it in. With the face to face and video time we spent, going deep into key areas like Akkusativ vs Dativ, I was finally able to get over that hill. A big support was the motto: "Keep it simple". Making sure I kept my sentences to the point, answering the question and not going off in complex tangents. Christina is a fantastic teacher and will help you get over that hill - or should you be going for a higher, over that mountain. Recommend highly!"
